Distill does not require account creation and does not collect any personal information beyond the YouTube URL you submit. That URL and any extracted caption data are discarded immediately after the summary is generated and are never stored.

2. Automatically Collected Data (Logs & Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to improve service quality. This may collect anonymized usage statistics such as pages visited, session duration, browser type, operating system, and approximate location (country/city level). This information cannot be used to identify you personally.

3. Advertising & Cookies (Google AdSense)

This site may display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies (including the DART cookie) to show ads based on your interests.

5. Data Retention

Distill does not permanently store any personal data on its servers. Raw caption data is discarded immediately after summary generation. AI-generated summaries may be cached in server memory for up to 24 hours to improve performance; this data is anonymous and cannot identify any individual.

This service does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

This policy may be updated as the service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions.
